What is digital literacy, computational thinking, and coding? What are their respective roles in preparing students as future citizens and professionals? We will discuss these issues and we will have practical activities that can be repeated in class to build the skills of your students in these areas. You will also learn what free resources Let's Talk Science provides to support you in your teaching. Among other activities, we will present the Living Space Project, an experiment created in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency that links computational thinking with the curriculum of the living world and the earth and space units.
